This half term, our focus will be on History/ Geography, where we will be finding out about our local area! We will be conducting a local study discovering physical and human features in Chesterfield.
In English, we will be using 'Small in the City' by Sydney Smith as a stimulus. We will be writing a letter of advice to help the character whose found themselves lost in the city. Following this, we will be writing our own diary entry from the perspective of the lost character!
In RE we will be investigating why the bible is so important to Christians, and in Art and Design, we will be creating our own crooked spire sculpture.
In Maths, In Y3 and Y4, the focus is on place value, representing numbers up to 10,000 in multiple ways. Following this, we will be looking at addition and subtraction, adding up to 2 4-digit numbers with and without exchanging.
