Our learning this term:

We will be using ‘The National Trust’s Guide book to Sutton Hoo’ as our inspiration, together with our class novel ‘The Buried Crown’ by Ally Sherrick.

We will be immersing ourselves in the history of Sutton Hoo, finding out all about he Saxon burial discovered there in 1939.  We will be discovering information about the famous treasure unearthed and using this to write a fascinating report.

Using all our historical research, we will then tur to fictional writing and, imagining the king that is believed to be buried here, build a vivid description of this mysterious leader.
